Tan Sri Dato' Seri Abdul Rahim was appointed to the RPB Board on 17 May 1993. He held various positions in the administration, enforcement, investigation and prosecution divisions of the Royal Customs and Excise Department, before becoming the Director General of Customs, Malaysia from 1978 till 1985. He served for 4 years in the Anti-Corruption Agency Malaysia as Assistant Director (investigation). Tan Sri was a member of the Royal Advisory Council in the State of Perak Dewan Negara and was also a director of SRII Berhad. He was also a member of the Justice of Peace.
